ARDC PROJECT 2024!

What does "getting involved" mean?

The below quick answers are just that, quick answers.

There is so much more information on our website for those interested!

Ok, here we go!

There is no one size fits all to "getting involved."

If you are a registered Democratic voter, living in Abington or Rockledge, you are already a member of the ARDC. This is your Committee.

There is no wrong way to start or to come back if you've been involved previously.

You are welcome, and go at your own pace!

  • Who is/are the "ARDC Family": Committee People, Associate Commitee People, Block Captains, and Consistent Volunteers

Ok, we recognize that titles may tend to freak people out. We use these titles to help structure and assist volunteers feel more comfortable with their time and level of involvement.

We are ALL volunteers, hoping to help elect people with similar values and for this year, to save Democracy. We respect each other's time and commitment, regardless of the level.

  • How is the Party moving forward and encouraging greater grassroots involvement?

1st) Trainings and refreshers for existing Committee People, Associate Committee People and dependable volunteers;

2nd) Doorhangers Invitation to "get involved" to strong Democratic voters / Primary Day Sign ups;

3rd) Welcome / Training Event

The above plan will culminate in more "ward centric" organization. Abington/Rockledge consists of 16 Wards. (see picture below)

We want to encourage each ward to work collaboratively with all volunteers within their ward and to have one or two members report at the monthly ARDC meetings.

Rockledge is its own ward.

For Abington, click the picture below to go to the Abington website to find your ward by your street...

So, you convinced me, what should I do to "get involved?"

About the ARDC

The Abington-Rockledge Democratic Committee is a local branch of the Democratic party right in your neighborhood.

THE BROWNSTONE!

We hold regular, affordable social events and networking opportunities. Funds raised are used to support our Democratic candidates and strengthen the Democratic party.

We encourage you to become more involved in the party as well as in the democratic process itself. The ARDC is always on the lookout for energetic, talented and committed individuals to run for School Board and other local positions, as well as those who would like to help them get elected.

It is our hope that you will contact us for more information or discussion. You will receive a personal message or a message via e-mail, whichever you prefer. Better yet, drop by a meeting of the ARDC and introduce yourself. Get to know us better - and let us get to know you!
