Lori Schreiber for Commissioner Ward 14

Lori was first elected as a Township Commissioner in 2005, when she won an election over a 24-year incumbent. Professionally, she has a Master’s degree from Lehigh University in Social Relations, and has over 25 years of experience in Social Services.  Currently, a part-time faculty member at both Montgomery County Community College and Penn State Abington, Lori also helped to start and works for a program called POWER which assists people with mental health and substance abuse diagnosis explore their potential career opportunities. She and her spouse, Linda, have lived in Roslyn since 1998.
Lori has served on quite a few Subcommittees as Commissioner, and is now Director of the Public Safety Committee. In both her election campaigns and her work as an elected official, Lori has emphasized the need for revitalization in our business communities. With that in mind, she has been an active member of several revitalization and economic development committees and has sponsored successful neighborhood events to enhance involvement in the Roslyn community-including a successful Film Festival and an Animal Rescue Event. Also, deeply concerned about transparency in our local government, Lori was one of the commissioners who pushed for televising Abington Township's Commissioners' meetings.
