2026 Election Information
The 2026 Midterms will be a pivotal moment for both our country and democracy. Locally we have Congresswoman Madeleine Dean and Governor Josh Shapiro - both proud Abington residents - running for re-election, as well as our State Representative, Ben Sanchez and State Senator Art Haywood.
Not very far away, we also hope to help support the Bob Harvie campaign in the 1st Congressional District (all of Bucks and portions of eastern MontCo), the Chris Thomas campaign in the 24th State Senate District (northern MontCo into Berks), the Margaret Burke campaign in the 147th State Senate District (central MontCo), and many more.
We can only achieve these goals by mobilizing locally and turning out the vote this November!

Volunteer at Abington & Rockledge Polling Places on Election Day
Calling all Election Day Volunteers!
Whether you have volunteered on Election Day before or this is your first time, we need your help at the polls on Election Day. The polls will be open from 7am-8pm on Tuesday, November 3rd and our ARDC volunteers will be handing out Democratic sample ballots and greeting voters.

What do you need to know:
Time slots are 2 hours long.
The location for the polling place is on the sign up. You may want to arrive a few minutes early to locate the democratic table for that polling location.
Some polling places are comfortably inside and some are outside. So dress in layers and come prepared.
You may want to bring a chair, sunscreen, water and a love of democracy!

Request Lawn Signs
If you would like to request lawn signs for the democrats on our ballot, please fill out this Google Form or visit tinyurl.com/ARDCsigns26.
The signs will be held for you to pick up at our next meeting on Tuesday October 20th at 7pm.
We have signs for: Governor Josh Shapiro, Congresswoman Madeleine Dean, State Senator Art Haywood, and State Rep. Ben Sanchez.
Become a Local Democrat Committee Person!
What is a Committee Person?
A Committee Person is a local Democrat, just like you, who has volunteered to be the contact for Democrats in his or her neighborhood (precinct).
A Committee Person gets to know their Democratic neighbors in their precinct, becomes a point of contact for questions about voting/upcoming elections, greets voters at the polling place, helps people register to vote, and recruits other volunteers to help them reach voters in their neighborhood. They also are a voting member of the ARDC to help put Democratic candidates on the ballot.
That sounds great! How do I become a Committee Person?
In Pennsylvania, elections for Democratic Committee Persons are held every four years (in the same year as the Governor’s election). The are only on the ballot in their precinct. If a Committee Person position should go unfilled, a volunteer may be appointed by their Area Chair (locally, that’s the Chair of the ARDC).
