About the Abington-Rockledge Democratic Committee
The Abington-Rockledge Democratic Committee is a local branch of the Democratic party right in your neighborhood!
Based in Abington, Pennsylvania, we hold regular monthly meetings, organize within our community, and hold social events to build connections are hear from our local representatives and community organizers. Funds raised by the ARDC are used to support our Democratic candidates and strengthen the Democratic party.
What role does the ARDC play?
The Democratic Party is the party of the people, and by working together and organizing as a community we can shape our community, country and world into a better place for our present and future. We stand for women’s right to choose, universal affordable healthcare, LGBTQ+ rights, civil rights, gun safety reform, medicare, scientifically-based solutions to mitigate the escalating effects of climate change, and voting rights.
Here you'll find information on your local Democratic elected officials, committee persons, polling places, and all activities conducted by and related to the ARDC.
We invite you to become involved with us locally in Democratic politics to create the community you are proud to live in every day! Working with other like-minded individuals toward the greater good is incredibly rewarding. We work at the polls on election day, we register voters, we work for candidates and manage other local committee work. The ARDC is always on the lookout for energetic, talented and committed individuals to run for School Board and other local positions, as well as those who would like to help them get elected and build community in Abington and Rockledge!
ARDC Monthly Meetings
Our meetings are held monthly, the third Tuesday of every month at 7:00 p.m. at the Brownstone (the old Abington Schoolhouse) on the Sunrise campus on Susquehanna Rd. All registered Democratics in Abington and Rockledge are invited and encouraged to attend. Our meeting consists of reports from our elected Democratic officials, candidates and committees, as well as updates from local organizing groups. You will have the opportunity to meet and get to know these people. You will also have the opportunity to express your own ideas and concerns with them.
We also hold regular, affordable social events and networking opportunities. All funds raised are used to support our Democratic candidates and strengthen the Democratic party.
